Terms of Sale
Last updated: 28 October 2026
These terms apply when you buy a book on tailorway.ai. Please read them before you pay: in short, each book is made for you, so it can't be returned because you changed your mind, but our guarantee covers a book that arrives damaged, has a printing fault or is not what you approved.
1. Who sells to you
The seller is Tailorway OÜ, a company registered in Estonia (registry code 17252547), Viru väljak 2, Kesklinna linnaosa, 10111 Tallinn, Harju maakond, Estonia. Email: contact@tailorway.ai. Phone: +41 22 539 16 40 (voice messages; for the fastest answer use our help chat). All our details: Company details.
2. What you buy
A personalised picture book, written and painted for the person it is about from your answers. That person is usually a child, but it can be anyone. The story and the pictures are made with AI from your answers; the book is not a template with a name swapped in.
One order is one book. You get:
- the book to read online in your Tailorway account, as a page-turning book, as soon as it is made;
- one printed copy, sent to you: a square hardcover, 21 × 21 cm, in full colour, with 28 to 36 story pages (most have about 32), plus a cover, a dedication page and a back cover.
Before you order, you approve the drawing of every character, and the book is made from the drawings you approved. The story pages are not shown before you pay. One drawing style is used for the whole book.
3. How to order
- Fill in the order form: the reader's age, each person in the story (a photo or a few words), a drawing style, what should happen in the story, and a title.
- We draw each character, and you approve each drawing or ask for a change.
- Review everything and choose "Order my book". You sign in (with Google, Apple, or your email address and a code) before you pay.
- In the order window, choose the country the book goes to. It shows the book price, the shipping and the total before you pay.
- Pay on Stripe's secure checkout page.
4. Price and payment
The total shown in the order window, the book price plus the shipping to the country you chose, is what you pay. Nothing is added at checkout. Outside the European Union, the carrier may charge customs duties, import taxes or fees when the book arrives; these are not part of what you pay us.
You pay by card, in one single payment (no subscription), on a checkout page run by our payment provider, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
5. When the contract is made
The contract is made when your payment is confirmed. From then on, your order can no longer be changed, and we start making your book. Your book's page in your account shows that the payment went through.
6. Making your book
The book is made automatically after you pay. Your account shows its progress; you can leave and come back. We email you when it is ready. We don't promise a fixed making time.
7. Printing and delivery
When your book is ready, it is printed by our print partner and sent to you with tracked delivery. We deliver to the countries offered in the order window; the delivery address must be in the country you chose there.
How long it takes from your order to your door, printing included, in calendar days:
- European Union: 9 to 19 days
- Rest of Europe (including Switzerland, the UK and Norway): 10 to 25 days, customs included
- United States: 13 to 19 days
- The Americas outside the US, Asia, Africa and Oceania: 20 to 35 days, customs included
These are estimates, not promises. Before Christmas, allow about a week more. Faster shipping is not available. Once your book has shipped, you see the date it shipped and a link to track the parcel in your account (Settings, Orders & billing). The address can't be changed once the parcel has shipped.
8. No right of withdrawal
When you buy online in the EU, you can usually withdraw from the purchase within 14 days. That right does not apply to goods made to the buyer's specifications or clearly personalised (EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(c)). Every Tailorway book is written and painted for you, so you cannot withdraw from your order or return the book because you changed your mind.
This does not affect our guarantee (section 10) or your legal rights when a book is faulty or not as agreed (section 11).
9. Cancelling after you pay
We start making your book as soon as you have paid, and there is no way to cancel an order yourself. If you want to cancel, write to us at contact@tailorway.ai as soon as possible, and we will tell you what we can still do.
10. Our guarantee
- If your book arrives damaged, has a printing fault, or does not match what you approved, we send you a new book or refund you. Tell us within 30 days of receiving it, with a photo, at contact@tailorway.ai or in our help chat.
- If your parcel seems lost, write to us with your order details. We first check with the carrier; if the parcel really never arrived, we send you a new book at no cost.
11. Your legal rights
You also have the rights consumer law gives you when goods are faulty or not as described. In the EU this includes the legal guarantee of conformity, which covers faults that appear within at least two years of delivery. Our guarantee comes on top of these rights and does not limit them.
12. What you may put in a book
- Use photos and details only of people you may use them for: yourself, your own child, or someone who has agreed (for a child, their parent or guardian).
- No characters that belong to someone else. We check the names, descriptions, photos and story text automatically for characters from someone else's films, cartoons, games or books, and for brand mascots. When the check finds one, we don't draw it, and the order can't go ahead until it is changed. Real people, famous or not, are not blocked by this check.
- If a photo can't be used, the form says so: try another photo, or describe the person in words.
- We may refuse to make a book with content that is unlawful or meant to hurt someone.
13. Your book
Your book is for your personal use: you may read it, keep it, give it as a present and share pictures of it with family and friends. Please don't sell it or use it for business. We don't use your book, your story or your photos in our advertising or as examples.
14. Our responsibility
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or not taking reasonable care. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited, or takes away your rights as a consumer.
15. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Estonian law. If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country's law, and you may bring a claim in the courts where you live. If something goes wrong, please write to us first at contact@tailorway.ai; we will do our best to put it right.
16. Changes
We may update these terms. The terms that apply to your order are the ones shown here when you paid.
